Peintre des icônes, travaillant sur bois anciens, elle utilise les préparations traditionnelles de gesso et de l'oeuf tempera aux pigments naturels. Elle utilise aussi les feuilles,d'or de 24 carats. Le travail s'accommode très bien de demandes particulières comme l'ajout d'une patine donnant une apparence d'âge.

Influencée par la nature éthérique des icônes orthodoxes, elle concentre son travail sur ce sujet depuis le milieu des années 90, en mélangeant et expérimentant des styles différents. Elle maintient l'intégrité de la philosophie des icônes en adhérant au but originel des icônistes : l'article terminé doit être un canal pour l'âme.

Icon painter on antique and old wood using traditionally-prepared gesso and other media including egg tempera and natural pigments. She also uses 24 carat gold leaf, and distresses the work, if required by the client, to give the appearance of age.

Impressed and influenced by the etheral nature of the orthodox iconic expression, she focussed her work in the mid-nineteen nineties, experimenting with and cross-fertilising the various styles to produce these works. She maintains the integrity of the iconic statement by adhering to the single most important aim of the earliest practitioners : that the finished article be but a channel for the spirit.
